Exhibit Antiques has dated this Cobalt Blue Crystal Decanter to the 1950s.
It has a tall tapering body in deep sapphire-blue overlay crystal, extensively cut with long vertical polished panels between deep flutes beneath a clear notch cut neck. Original elongated notch and flute cut stopper. The underside is finished with a finely cut radiating starburst base of exceptional precision and polish.

The elegant proportions, restrained cutting and remarkable clarity of the crystal are all highly characteristic of Saint-Louis production during the mid-20th century. The rich cobalt overlay combined with the crisp optical cutting creates a striking interplay of depth and light, reflecting the high standards associated with French luxury crystal manufacture.
