Antique ale glass. Round funnel bowl above a multi spiral air twist stem with shoulder and centre knop. Plain conical foot English c1755.

Rim dia: 5.4 cm.

Foot dia: 7.7 cm.

Weight: 207 grams.

Condition: Very good.

Glassmakers created air twist stems by making pricks in a gather of molten lead glass, capturing air pockets, and then drawing and twisting the glass stem to elongate the trapped bubbles into uniform spiral patterns.
