Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Sheraton Revival furniture emerged in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, drawing inspiration from Thomas Sheratons late eighteenth-century Neoclassical designs. Key characteristics include delicate proportions, geometric line inlay, tapered legs, and the use of pale, highly figured hardwoods such as satinwood.

Edwardian cabinets typically combine primary woods like satinwood or mahogany with glass panels, cast brass hardware, and fabric or velvet interior linings. Decorative details often involve ebony or tulipwood crossbanding and delicate astragal glazing bars.

Authentic pieces exhibit precise cabinetmaking, including hand-cut dovetail joints, original glass panes with slight irregularities, fine stringing inlays, and stamped brass locks or escutcheons dating from the late Victorian or Edwardian eras.

A Sheraton Revival vitrine serves as a focal point in contemporary spaces when filled with curated collections of ceramics, glassware, or contemporary sculpture. Its light wood tone and slender frame complement both minimalist and traditional interior schemes.

Dust regularly with a dry, lint-free microfibre cloth and apply a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year, buffing gently along the grain. Keep the cabinet away from direct sunlight, radiators, and high humidity to prevent veneer lifting or wood movement.
