Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian silver photo frames, created during the early 20th century, often features clean geometric shapes, delicate beaded borders, and hand-hammered finishes that reflect the transition from ornate Victorian detailing to Arts and Crafts simplicity.

These frames were typically constructed using sterling silver mounted onto a firm backing, often rendered in mahogany, oak, or covered in silk or velvet, accompanied by protective glass fronts.

Authentic British pieces carry official assay office hallmarks, including the lion passant mark for sterling silver, a specific city emblem such as the Birmingham anchor, a makers mark, and a date letter corresponding to the year of manufacture.

Place the silver frame on a contemporary console table, desk, or mantelpiece alongside clean-lined modern ceramics and books to create an intriguing mix of textures and historical eras.

Dust the silver frame regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and polish gently using a specialised silver polishing cloth to remove tarnish without stripping the underlying patina or damaging delicate textile backings.
