A Victorian receipt hook stand with filled sterling silver plinth base. The base is finished with a crisp beaded border, giving it a smart architectural look associated with late 19th century taste. The receipt hook is marked silver plate. The sterling silver base is hallmarked for Sheffield, 1898.
