Description

Easily one of the rarest and perhaps the most prized gemstones in the world is an unheated sapphire from Kashmir. This bright, cornflower blue stone sits within a sold, 18k yellow gold mount and is secured by 8 curving claws which flow to a D-shaped shank.

Accompanied by a report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and originates from Kashmir.

Cut: Cushion.

Colour: Blue.

Clarity: Loupe clean.

Carat: 0.75.

Dated: 1916.

Size: Q (UK) or 8 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The sapphire is 5.99 x 4.54mm. The ring is 8.1mm at the widest point and sit 3.6mm from the finger.

Weight: 4.11 grams.

Metal: 18k yellow gold. Fully hallmarked.
