Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A French carriage clock is a small, spring-driven portable clock originally developed in France during the early 19th century for travel, traditionally featuring a rectangular brass case with glass side panels and an overhead carrying handle.

Antique carriage clocks are typically constructed from solid brass or gilt-brass, fitted with thick bevelled glass plates, and feature enamelled ceramic dials housing mechanical brass clockwork.

Authentic pieces display heavy brass construction, bevelled glass panels, precision mechanical balance-wheel movements, and frequently feature maker or retailer stamps on the movement plate or enamel dial.

Display the clock on a timber mantelpiece, a dark wood bookshelf, or a executive desk where its metallic brass finish provides a classic contrast against modern background elements.

Dust the exterior regularly with a clean microfiber cloth, avoid abrasive liquid polishes that strip historical patination or gilding, and arrange professional servicing for the internal mechanical movement every few years.
