Arundel Clocks has dated this French Repeater Carriage Clock to the 1880s.
I have for sale a 1880s French striking and repeating carriage clock made in France with the original silvered platform and brass winding key.

The Case
The case is in solid shiny brass and stands 17cm high x 8.5cm wide with a depth of 7.5cm it is in good original condition with mint thick 5mm bevelled sides/front/back door and top viewing glass.

The case is very heavy and shiny and very hard to photograph they do not do the clock justice at all.
The Dial
The dial is in original condition in white porcelain in great condition, with stunning bold Roman numerals. The clock also retains its very fine original black moon hands.

The Movement
The movement is an eight day time and strike which strikes the hours via a small sweet gong to the rear also has the repeater button on top to repeat the last hour strike, the movement has been serviced ultra sonic cleaned hand polished had 2 new springs re-built and tested so keeping great time over the eight days and jewelled serviced platform escapement this work was carried out about two months ago but just serviced again for trouble free running.

Overall, a very beautiful quality carriage clock by a top quality French maker that looks stunning on display and contains all of its original features. This is quite a rare find these days.
I will ship worldwide.
