Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A lowboy is a small table with drawers, popular during the 18th century in Britain and North America, historically used as a dressing table or writing desk.

Georgian lowboys were predominantly constructed from native timbers such as walnut, oak, and mahogany, often featuring solid oak drawer linings and hand-cast brass hardware.

Authentic 18th-century pieces usually exhibit hand-dovetailed drawer joints, hand-planed timber surfaces, period brass batwing or teardrop handles, and natural patination.

A Georgian lowboy functions effectively as a hallway console table, a compact home office desk, or a refined side table alongside contemporary seating.

Maintain the finish by dusting with a dry microfibre cloth and applying a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year, while avoiding direct sunlight and harsh chemical cleansers.
