Mid C19th Oak and Burr Elm Hall Bench / Window Seat; in 'The Reformed Gothic' Manner

Description

Good mid C19th oak and burr elm hall bench / window seat; in 'The Reformed Gothic' manner; the raised end arm supports of a bold cushion moulded design terminating in carved trefoil panels inlaid in burr elm; above the upholstered padded seat. Raised on substantial square supports all with chamfered edges and further rectangular panels of burr elm. The legs terminating on original brass castors. Finished identical on both sides so can be used freestanding. The seat stripped back to the calico ready for top cover. Can be upholstered by us if desired. Lovely rich colour and patina.
