Description

Anonymous: a charming late 19th century large Art Nouveau period BRONZE SCULPTURE of a young lady. She stands naked, her hair braided in a long pig-tail (known as a “Double Dutch Braid”) whilst holding out a shell in supplication. Fine warm patina and excellent condition. 19.5ins high (49.5cms) including the integral bronze socle base. circa 1890-1900.
