Description

Considered among the finest of north persian weavings these bakshaish rugs are a connossieurs delight.

This example has a central medallion which seems to float amidst a dark blue/black ground.

There are numerous birds and peacocks amongst it's design including pairs within the central pointed pendant pole ends.

Hard to come by bakshaish rugs and plenty of information available out there on these village weavings. Take a look at carpet size prices on here and websites.

All over low even pile. All ends and sides secured. Hand washed & de-dusted.

Size is 5 foot 9 inches by 4 foot 3 inches. 175cm X 130cm. At widest points. Fine wool pile hand knotted onto cotton foundations.
