Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco clocks from the 1930s are identified by clean geometric shapes, bold typography, and modern materials such as chrome, bakelite, and polished glass. Designs favoured symmetry, streamlined profiles, and minimalist dial faces reflecting the industrial aesthetics of the era.

Travel clocks of this period were commonly constructed with chrome-plated brass or nickel frames and fitted into protective cases lined with leather, faux leather, or shagreen. Dials were usually painted metal or enamel featuring blued steel hands and glass crystals.

Authentic pieces generally feature mechanical Swiss or European movements, period-accurate stamped markings on the dial or movement plate, and hand-fitted cases showing natural age-related wear rather than artificial distressing.

A vintage travel clock serves as an elegant accent on a bedside table, an executive office desk, or a bookshelf. Its compact scale and strong architectural lines complement both mid-century and modern minimalist decor.

Wind the movement gently until natural resistance is felt, avoiding over-winding. Clean chrome surfaces with a dry microfiber cloth to prevent moisture build-up, and treat original leather cases with a neutral leather conditioner to maintain flexibility.
