Shackladys Antiques has dated this Mahogany Dressing Chest Mirror to the 19th Century.
The large mirror is framed in carved mahogany and embellished with etched floral corner motifs, adding refinement and period character.

The mirror supports are masterfully sculpted caryatid-style figures, each displaying detailed plumage, drapery, and scrollwork bases—hallmarks of the bold decorative vocabulary of the Renaissance Revival style.

The chest is fitted with a beautifully polished marble surface in warm, softly veined tones. Beneath the carved foliate frieze are two long, slim concealed drawers, with three substantial full-width drawers forming the main body. Each drawer retains period-style brass handles and operates smoothly. The case is framed by turned and carved columns, with the lower apron decorated by fluting and rosette motifs and supported on boldly carved feet.

A highly sculptural and visually commanding dressing chest, combining exceptional craftsmanship with strong architectural presence—an outstanding example of Victorian-era design.
