Fine Victorian watercolour of the 'Brig 'o Don, Aberdeen by local artist John Mitchell. Painting is signed with his monogram JM and dated 1873. This is a typical example of his work with stunning colours and details. John Mitchell was born in 1837 at Woodside, Donside and lived most of his life in Aberdeenshire until his death in 1926. Many of his works were exhibited and he remains a very collectible artist. Most of his painting depict views in Aberdeenshire. In fine original condition and has been re-mounted and framed. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE.

Size; 34.5" x 25,5" overall. 25" x 17" picture size.
