A 19thC English School Striking Watercolour, Reclining Lady, 37cm Gilt Frame.

A fine quality 19th century, English School Romanticism scene of striking colours and subject, featuring a reclining lady amongst a river side landscape, before castle ruins, a possible mythical scene recreation.

A superbly skilled watercolour behind glass, unknown artist, unsigned whilst evidently an accomplished hand with a skilful understanding of technique and subject.

Provenance, country house estate sale, the former property of an artist, collector and antique dealer.

A very fine piece.

Occupying a giltwood frame of the period.
