This nineteenth-century French Empire style gueridon is formed from warm brown walnut with an inset dark marble top and a caned lower shelf. The circular table stands on four tapered square legs with brass mounts at the top and delicate gilt-metal beading running around the frieze. Visible details include a woven rattan lower tier, brass decorative hardware on the upper frame, and a smooth greyish-green stone surface set flush into the wooden rim.
