A good example of an early 19th century Irish Regency period Canterbury attributed to the acclaimed Dublin cabinetmakers Gillingtons. The three division top section with spiral turned columns to each corner and distinctive finials, the divider bars supported by fine ring turned baluster shaped spindles, with a single finely dovetailed cockbeaded drawer to the base and raised on ring turned legs with original brass castors. Circa 1820.

In very good antique condition, structurally sound, and with a beautiful patina this is a useful piece of furniture for storing magazines and papers and since the divider rails are straight also offers a stable surface for a small tray.
