Ebonised Corner What-not C.1860

19th century
Description

Mid 19th.c. ebonised corner what-not c.1860. Four quarter-round shelves of graduated size and height. In ebonised hardwood with fine satinwood inlay and stringing. Elaborate pierced gallery to the back edge of each shelf. Turned column supports with turned finial tops. On bun feet with the original brass collared castors stamped J.C & S for the Birmingham manufacturers James Cartland & Sons. Repair to the right hand edge of the bottom shelf. Otherwise very good condition, restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
