LTANTIQUES.CO.UK has dated this Regency Mahogany Linen Press to the 19th Century.

The upper section opens to reveal a fitted interior with original sliding trays, these slides can be easily removed and replaced with a hanging rail if preferred, making the piece suitable as either a traditional linen press or wardrobe.

The base is fitted with an arrangement of two short drawers over two long drawers, all with cockbeaded fronts and retaining their original turned mahogany handles. A brass closing strip runs vertically between the doors, with original lock.

The press stands on well-carved Regency feet with acanthus detail.
The mahogany throughout has developed a particularly rich and interesting grain, with fine figuring across the doors and drawer fronts, and retains a pleasing warm colour.

In good condition, with expected signs of age and use consistent with a piece over 200 years old. Solid, clean and ready for use.
This is a fine quality, highly practical late Regency linen press that would sit comfortably in both period and contemporary interiors.
