Antique Victorian Etagere Bookcase

A fine antique Victorian oak étagère bookcase, comprising four tiers with well-figured burr maple surfaces. The structure is supported by turned barley twist columns and stands on original castors for ease of movement. The top tier features a raised gallery with finials, offering both decorative detail and practical containment. A single drawer is integrated into the base for additional storage. A functional and well-proportioned piece, suitable for use as a bookcase, display stand, or occasional shelving.

CONDITION REPORT:

This piece is in good antique condition overall, with some signs of age and use throughout. There is surface wear in places, including age-related marks and scratches consistent with its age. Some splitting to the sides and the top, as well as marks to the base. However, it remains structurally solid and sound. These imperfections are in line with the piece's age and do not detract from its overall character and appeal.
