Here we have an exquisite French ormolu and enamel panel mounted mantel clock by the renowned LE ROY & FILSThe 3 inch circular dial painted with three birds to the centre and signed Le Roy et Fils, 211 Regent Street London, with Roman numerals in gilt and blue celeste borders. The case is superbly detailed, the top is finished with a campana urn with detachable cover and pineapple finial and goat''s head handles to the sides. As you move down the case there are lovely detailed acanthas leaves and detailing and the clock is raise on beautifully detailed delicate feet. Below the dial is the porcelain panel is adorned with with a small group of ladies and gentlemen and to the base is a further adorned with finely painted flowers both of which are framed in in gilt and blue borders.
