Circa 1810. Exceptional quality figured mahogany George III sofa table. The top in beautifully figured Spanish mahogany with tulip wood inlay with D-end flaps. The two frieze drawers with subtle matching inlay and an unusual drawer-front configuration. Supported on semicircular shaped trestles with an elegant ring turned stretcher above a base with acanthus carved hips and tapering inlaid cabriole feet with original brass lion’s claw caps and castors. Totally original with beautiful colour and patina.
