N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this Antique Childs Rocking Chair to the Victorian era.
DESCRIPTION:
This delightful piece has a wonderful timeless charm. The chair is made from ash and elm which has the most superb grain especially the seat, and has a lovely feel from the many years of use. The arms legs and back support are nicely turned which sets the chair off beautifully as can be seen from the photographs.

The chair has the most exquisite patina which can only be gained through age and unfortunately the photographs do not do it justice.
Its rockers are original which is a lovely feature as sadly many of these chairs have had the rockers replaced. The rockers are finished to the underside with metal which has ensured the rockers have stayed in good condition.

As can be seen from the photographs this is a lovely pieces of furniture.

13 inches (33 cm) wide across arms.
22 inches (56 cm) deep across rockers.
22 1/4 inches (56.5 cm) high.

From the above dimensions is can be seen that this chair is of lovely proportions.

The chair dates to circa 1840.
