A FINE VIRTUALLY FULL PILED KHAMSEH MAIN CARPET.

BEAUTIFUL COLOURS INCLUDING A YELLOW AND DEEP TURQUOISE ALONG WITH SOME MORE UNUSUAL ZOOMORPHIC AND TRIBAL MOTIFS WITHIN THE DARK BLUE/BLACK FIELD.

DOMINATED BY THREE JOINED CENTRAL ELONGATED HEXAGONAL MEDALLIONS AND MATCHING SPANDRELS AND HALF MEDALLIONS This design appears to have been chiefly used by the Basseri. It occurs in combination with a number of different border solutions (see examples in literature).
