Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Early Victorian centre tables typically feature robust pedestal supports, intricate wood carving, multi-faceted or rounded tops, and heavy classical proportions popular during the mid-19th century.

Craftsmen during this period predominantly used dense hardwoods such as mahogany, rosewood, or walnut for the structure, often pairing them with inset or fitted white Carrara or grey-veined marble tops.

Authentic pieces generally exhibit period-accurate hand-carved details, spiral or barley-twist columns, natural patina on the timber underside, and original fixings or construction joinery beneath the tabletop.

These tables function effectively as focal accent pieces in grand entrance halls, placed within architectural bay windows, or positioned alongside modern seating to add texture and historical contrast.

Clean the marble surface using a mild, pH-neutral stone cleaner while avoiding acidic liquids that etch stone. Treat the timber components with natural beeswax polish applied along the wood grain using a soft cloth.
