A 19th Century Carved Oak Breton Window Seat Coffer

The Seat is made in solid Oak it has small candle boxes on each side and a lift up lid

The front has three panels which have delightful carvings in the Breton style depicting country scenes and the top has a carved reeded border around the candle boxes

The coffer is a good medium coloured Oak, it is in good condition for its years, there is a shrinkage split in one of the panels but it is very old and shows no sign of further movement there are very few marks on this French country piece

The coffer is 44” long, 18” deep and 27” high and the seat height is 21”
