Dragoncharger Antiques has dated this Ebonised Aesthetic Movement Suite to the 1880s.
Upholstered in an opulent apple green velvet chenille fabric, with red and gold braid trim. Gilt central flower medallions (carved) central to the chairs, and one at each end on the sofa.

The quality and workmanship is superb with some incredibly finely chased detailing on the ebonised frames. Further decorative patterning within the exposed mahogony panels and gilt decoration to the turned sections. Each piece is stamped Shoolbred and numbered. Some reupholstering and fading over time, but still perfectly useable and clean.

Evidence of a good repair to the rear leg of the sofa and normal wear and tear commensurate with age and use.
Overall an extremely fine and superb quality aesthetic movement period Sofa and 2 chairs, made by one of the finest furniture makers of the time.
