A Mid 19th C. French Oak Proving Table. This wonderful piece of furniture is a must for a country style kitchen and with a panelled back it will sit nicely in the centre of a room.
The table has a hinged lift up lid to the right, a centre door, a slide out drawer to the left and also a slide out panel which would enable the baker to check that the dough is rising!
In solid original condition, with obvious signs of wear as would be expected from age and use and signs of ancient woodworm, which has still received treatment.
