Description

A rare, high quality carriage clock retailed by Tiffany & Co. A gilded engraved case of smaller proportions surmounted by 4 finials and a stylish engraved carrying handle. Spring loaded front and rear opening doors. A gilded dial masking to the circular enamel dial indistinctly signed 'Tiffany & Co'. Roman numerals and blued steel hands. A heavy, multi-piece case standing on bun feet. An 8-day duration timepiece mechanism numbered 142. the case base is numbered 1263 and the inner case is stamped ' L Lange & Clarke. Circa 1895.
