Description

Smart late 19th.c. upholstered oak box settle or hall seat c.1890. Padded backrest within a moulded oak frame and raised on turned supports. Short padded arms with carved detail where they join the frame and baluster turned supports topped with a carved finial. Over a sprung seat which lifts to reveal useful storage inside for boots and shoes etc. Upholstered panels to the front and sides, moulded plinth raised on carved bun feet. Bottle green chenille fabric with brass studs around the edges. A few minor marks to the fabric, otherwise very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
