An Early 18th Century Eanglish Walnut Lowboy of Excellent Untouched Colour and Patina.
This fine lowboy is a great example of English furniture from the early part of the 18th century. With its tall and relatively straight cabriole legs and fine brass plate handles, and interesting fretted shaping to the frieze. The overhanging top has re-entrant corners, a sign of quality, and superb quarted veneered bordered with featherbanding with a wide crossbanded edge. It has wonderful untouched colour and surface patination that has been built up through years of use and polishing.
A really excellent piece of furniture.
