Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A baluster glass refers to a type of 18th-century drinking glass characterised by a stem shaped like an architectural baluster. Popular during the early Georgian period, these glasses evolved from heavy baluster forms to lighter balustroid stems featuring various knop configurations.

Georgian baluster glasses were hand-blown using heavy lead glass, or flint glass, which provided optical brilliance. Stems were crafted by hand-forming solid section knops or gathered glass elements before joining them to the bowl and conical foot.

Authentic 18th-century stemware typically displays a snapped pontil mark on the underside of the foot, slight hand-blown asymmetry, and appropriate wear patterns along the foots resting edge.

Display antique stemware inside illuminated glazed cabinets, arranged on polished sideboard trays, or integrated alongside leather-bound volumes on shelving.

Hand wash antique lead glass using lukewarm water, mild detergent, and a soft cloth, avoiding hot temperatures and dishwashers to prevent thermal shock and clouding.
