Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Victorian aneroid barometer is a meteorological instrument introduced in the mid-nineteenth century that measures atmospheric pressure without liquids, using an evacuated metal capsule that expands or contracts with air pressure changes.

Traditional wall barometers were typically constructed using solid hardwoods such as oak, mahogany, or walnut for the surround, paired with brass bezels, glass covers, and hand-lettered or engraved dial faces.

Authentic nineteenth-century barometers feature hand-carved wooden detailing, period typeface on the dial face, brass mountings displaying natural patination, and functional mechanical aneroid cells rather than battery-operated components.

An antique wall barometer can be styled as part of a gallery wall alongside framed architectural prints, mounted above a console table, or hung in a narrow entryway to introduce historical texture.

Dust the wooden surround regularly with a soft dry microfiber cloth, clean the glass cover by applying cleaner to the cloth rather than the glass, and keep the instrument away from direct radiators to prevent the timber from shrinking.
