N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this Victorian Oak Banjo Barometer to the Victorian era.
As you can see from the close up photographs there is fantastic depth and exceptional detailing to the shaped of the case. The dial is signed 'CHADBURNS LTD 47 CASTLE STREET . LIVERPOOL'.

The top has a superb carving. This leads down to the thermometer box which has a a scale which is marked with Fahrenheit and Centigrade. On top of this is a thermometer, which is in perfect condition. This is then covered with glass.

Going down to the aneroid barometer, the lovely china dial which is marked with the weather conditions. There is also a blued steel finger and brass finger to mark the change in weather. The dial is signed 'CHADBURNS LTD 47 CASTLE STREET . LIVERPOOL'. The dial is then covered with bevelled glass. Surrounding the bezel is lovely dog tooth carvings.

The carvings on this barometer case are lovely, from the photographs you can see the attention to detail all the way down the barometer.

The approximate dimensions are: 33 3/4 inches (86 cm) high x 10 1/4 inches (26) wide.
As you can see from these dimensions the barometer is of lovely grand proportions.
