Fine Chippendale Design Kettle Stand

1900 - 1920
Description

Finest quality Thomas Chippendale design mahogany kettle stand, made from period timbers in the early 20th century by a very skilled craftsman. Octagonal top with a small gallery all round. Wonderful base with turned and carved column with carved cabriole legs terminating in carved scroll feet. The whole piece has been made from period timbers thus is the same weight as a period one. The condition is perfect apart from there is a ring in the top which requires polishing out.

It is testimony to the maker of this fine piece that until you get really close to it you can't tell if it is period or not.
