Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Regency bow front chests of drawers are defined by their convex curved fronts, elegant proportions, and fine craftsmanship produced in Britain between 1811 and 1830. They frequently feature figured wood veneers, reeded corner columns or pilasters, turned or swept legs, and decorative brass hardware such as lion-mask ring handles.

Flame mahogany and Cuban mahogany were the primary exterior veneers and timber choices during the Regency era due to their rich grain patterns. Drawer linings were commonly constructed using solid oak or pine, joined with hand-cut dovetails, and fitted with cast brass handles.

Authentic pieces feature hand-cut dovetail drawer joints, original locks, hand-sawn drawer linings, and natural age-related wear to the timber. The hardware often includes cast brass backplates with Regency motifs, while the construction displays period-specific tools marks beneath the drawers and on the back panels.

A Regency chest of drawers serves as a functional focal point when paired with contemporary artwork mounted above the top surface. Positioning modern ceramics or minimal table lamps on the surface balances the classic timber tones against modern wall palettes.

Maintain the finish by dusting regularly with a soft dry cloth and applying a quality beeswax polish sparingly once or twice a year. Keep the furniture away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent timber shrinkage, veneer lifting, or uneven fading.
