Handsome Edwardian Monk’s bench / hall seat / settle made from solid oak in excellent condition with amazing patination. This bench can be transformed into a side table when the backrest is lifted and placed on the arms that are supported by beautifully turned supports. This bench is panelled all the way round with an attractive linen fold design carved into the backrest and front panels. The seat lifts to provide storage for boots, shoes, bags etc. This is not only beautiful to look at, with amazing colouring and beautiful graining it is a very practical piece of furniture.
