Black Forest Bear Hallstand

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1920s. A large interesting Black Forest carved hall stand. The base with a bear standing on vegetation with a tree beside, the bottom of the tree with a turned branch forming the stick stand, with several cut branches forming coat hooks, and a small bear on the top. Beneath the bear on the base is a recessed metal tray for the umbrella, all carved with leaves and branches resting on four foliate carved feet.
