Gilded Demi-lune Marble Top Console Table C.1880

Description

Late 19th.c. Louis XVI style marble top console table c.1880. Original well figured inch-thick grey marble top. On a carved giltwood base with guilloche frieze and acanthus detail across the front. Raised on tapering reeded legs with leaf detail to the tops and turned feet. Joined with a shaped stretcher with a fluted and beaded edge carrying a Classical urn with floral spray and laurel leaf garlands. Original gilding with some wear and retouched in places.
