Set of late C19th/ early C20th Chinese Qing Dynasty carved hardwood or huali hall furniture.

Pair of carved hardwood armchairs or throne chairs with inset marble decorative shaped panel backs and an en-suite design carved centre table with corresponding marble panel detail top.

The armchairs with carved scroll arms , panelled seats, shaped forelegs and friezes , joined on stretcher bases . The backs with shaped outline open cresting rails . The two-tier table with shaped and carved bracket supports, raised on shaped forelegs joined with stretchers.

A decorative set of hall or reception furniture of high quality, the dense huali timber having achieved a rich colour and patina. In excellent original condition with no damage or repairs.
