Description

This is a beautiful Georgian intricately engraved teapot. The teapot is set in solid silver with a wooden handle. There is a full British hallmark on the base with the makers mark 'Pbab' for Peter & Ann Bateman, the leopard head for London assay office, the lion passant for sterling quality silver, the head of George III and the date letter 'D' for 1799. Also on the base are the engraved words 'The Gift of Mr. & Mrs. E H Adams. Jan 25th 1820'.
