Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Leeds Antiques

A Victorian period, strapwork iron slatted garden bench, dating from the C19th. Featuring scrolled painted iron strapwork supports, with wooden (possibly teak) slats.

An attractive bench, in well used condition, but still structurally sound and usable.

Dimensions:

This bench measures approximately 91 cm (36'') tall, 152.5 cm (60'') wide, and 81.5 cm (32'') deep. The seat height is approximately 45 cm (17.5'').

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This bench is in a well used and weathered condition, though is structurally sound and sturdy. There is some decaying to the timbers, and some of the coach bolts are loose. Though, these can be pulled up, and will still hold the slats. The layers of paint on the strapwork are peeling in places. Overall this presents very well if you are looking for a weathered in piece, and it would be shame to replace timbers and lose the charm the the current condition has. Very serviceable and ready to use...
