Wooden Record Cabinet
A wooden record cabinet stores your collection in style, bringing period craftsmanship straight into the living room.
Wooden Record Cabinet
A wooden record cabinet serves as dedicated storage for music, housing early sheet music, records, and vinyl collections within a single piece of furniture.
Most examples found here date from the Edwardian era through the nineteen thirties, encompassing styles such as Art Deco, French Art Nouveau, and early twentieth century designs.
How they were made
Cabinetmakers utilised solid timbers and wood veneer over sturdy frames, selecting mahogany, oak, and walnut for their rich grain and durability.
Many Edwardian and period pieces incorporate brass hardware, glass panels, and fine inlaid details to elevate the appearance of the timber.
Construction techniques focus on housing music sheets or vinyl records efficiently, often featuring specialised internal shelving and drop-down or cabinet doors.
