What is included in a vintage lounge suite?

A vintage lounge suite typically comprises a matching set of seating furniture designed for a living space or drawing room. Most combinations found here consist of a sofa or settee paired alongside a matching pair of armchairs, forming a cohesive three-piece arrangement.

How do I identify an Art Deco suite?

Art Deco suites, particularly those from the 1930s, are characterised by streamlined curved profiles, smooth walnut veneers, and volumetric padded forms such as cloud shapes. They often combine polished wood frames with contrasting leather or fabric upholstery.

How should I care for leather upholstery?

Leather upholstery on antique and vintage seating requires regular cleaning with appropriate soft cloths and maintenance using specialist leather conditioners. Keeping the material nourished prevents the dry cracking that can affect older hides over decades of use.
