Antoinettes Heirlooms has dated these Antique Silver Fish Knives to the Victorian era.
Manufactured in Sheffield, England by Henry Wilkinson and Co.
They are clearly hallmarked dating 1880 as the year of manufacture.
. There is a very faint monogram at the top of each knife, hardly visible, but I have blown a photograph up to ensure purchasers are aware of the monogram which I believe to be M.

The ferrules are also silver and hallmarked, as are the blades.
The blades are rounded tips
Each blade is magnificently engraved with a fish, I believe to be a salmon or trout. The detail is absolutely outstanding.

These knives are themselves, works of art.
The measure approx 24cm in length
The broadest tip of the blade is approx 2.5cm wide
The gross weight equals …434grams approx.
This is a rare and unique set of knives by Wilkinson.

In 1892 Wilkinson went in to liquidation and was purchased by walker and Hall, who continued to trade using Henry Wilkinson’s makers mark.
These are original 19th century/ victorian hallmarked silver knives by Henry Wilkinson.
