Dark Oak Brass Dial Longcase Clock by Robert Bunyan

Description

Beautiful 8 day longcase, made by Robert Bunyan, 1748-1810. Bunyan was a silversmith by trade, taking over from his Father in 1800; in the same year he was elected a sheriff of Lincoln.

The break arch brass dial having a silvered chapter ring with roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date ring. The Tudor oak case having gilded wood capitals to the case hood and being finished with a brass finial to the hood top.

The good quality 8 day movement is powered by 2 weights and is striking on a bell.

We are Time in Hand (Shipston) Ltd, established antique clock shop and restoration service for over 40 years based in the Cotswolds. All clocks are fully restored prior to delivery or collection. All clocks come with a 1 year guarantee.
