Satinwood Tea Caddy

Description

Antique octagonal tea caddy veneered in satinwood with book-matched blackthorn ovals, fluted cants, chequered strung edges, tulipwood crossbandings, stained faded green sycamore bands and black harewood dots. The top has an ornate brass handle partly covering the blackthorn medallion. The back of the tea caddy has a Yew wood medallion.

The interior of this remarkable antique tea caddy features a single floating lid with a turned bone handle. The interior retains most of its original lining and comes complete with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
