Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

French Impressionist landscapes from this era emphasise light, open-air brushwork, and everyday rural themes. Artists frequently painted outdoors to capture fleeting atmospheric conditions, subtle weather variations, and quiet provincial life.

Artists commonly painted with oil-based pigments applied to primed wooden panels or linen canvas. Rigid wooden panels offered a stable surface suitable for plein-air sketching and detailed, direct paint application.

Authentic period panel paintings typically display natural age-related wear, such as subtle surface craquelure, light oxidation of the varnish, and historic wood grain or bevelled edges on the reverse side of the board.

A muted landscape artwork works well when paired with neutral plaster walls, modern minimalist furniture, or integrated into a curated gallery wall alongside contrasting modern prints and charcoal sketches.

Dust the painted surface gently with a dry, soft-bristled brush, avoiding liquid cleaners or harsh chemicals. Display the artwork away from direct sunlight, radiator heat sources, and high humidity to prevent panel warping or paint flaking.
