A superb true pair of 19th century bronze figures by French sculptor Emile-Victor Blavier , 1821 France ,, Louis XV1 st patinated . Both having handsome finely chiseld features, one holding a walking stick in his hand with his musical instrument strapped to his back , while the other is holding his hat down by his side carrying a bag over his shoulder, both dressed in finely detailed period attire , one having strapped buckle boots and the other with buttoned boots , charming . Good deep brown patina. Signed and dated 1854 ,, E. BLAVIER.

19th-century French figural bronzes are cast metal sculptures produced during the Victorian and Second Empire eras, depicting genre scenes, human subjects, or classical figures. Dust the surfaces regularly using a soft, dry brush or lint-free cloth. Avoid applying water, abrasive metal polishes, or harsh solvents, and apply a light coating of microcrystalline wax annually to protect the original patination from atmospheric moisture.
